Submitting Your Site To Search Engines

It is important to submit your site to the major search engines so that they can start indexing your site.  This will direct the search engine spider bots to start gathering information about your site, its description, what it is about, and what pages and links are on your site.  This will help with gaining visitors from search engine traffic.  Before submitting your site, make sure it is ready for submission.

• Are your current pages completed?  No under construction pages!
• Are all links valid?  No broken links?  No dead links?
• Are your pages optimized for search engines?
• Are all the pages you want hidden included in your robots.txt file?
• Is your shopping cart or orders page working correctly?

Once you are ready for submission, be sure to submit your site to the 3 major search engines.  You can use the links below for Bing (MSN), Google, and Yahoo.  Enjoy your new search engine traffic.
